He sits on national television and claims to have cried many times while in jail missing his family. Poor thing spent the first part of his sentence in his plush mansion and when he did actually go to prison they end up letting him out early. This is a man who held dogs under water until they drowned, this is a man who electrocuted dogs until the died because the dogs wouldn't fight.
What kind of a message are we sending to today's youth when they see that he can do this and then get signed with a 1.7 million dollar contract to continue to play football. I heard a report the other day that said there has been a drastic decline in youths wanting to play football. I don't know maybe these youths want to look up to their idols there heroes and be able to be proud of who they are and what they do.
Michael Vick sat before me on tv and said he made bad choices -- I never felt he was sorry, I never saw that he was sorry. I never saw or heard and remorse on his face or in his voice. They showed him talking to a group of young people and they seemed as excited at having to sit there as what he did.
I know he's not the only felon out there playing football but where and how does this get justified ? Why do we sit here and just accept the fact that it's ok ? This world is becoming a sad place for me to live in.
